London Fashion Week SS16

So we are onto the third day of London Fashion Week
and what a beautiful day in the city.

Here I am with Peter Ogunsalu Founder
and Director of Fashion on Screen
Check out their site for the upcoming event on October 12
a screening of Boogie Woogie with a Q&A with the Director
himself - Duncan Ward
Book your tickets HERE
Swatch was there with their Fashion Mood Board
apparently we were happy...
We started off at Golden Square where you could quite happily
watch every show on the live screen
from the comfort of your deck chair

This avoids the all the queueing hugging and air kissing which
can actually be quite exhausting ...

Just sit back munch on some Proper pop corn
and relax ...

Yellow lines and yellow DM ...
The main events and showrooms are all at
LFW brand new home the Brewer Street Carpark
dubbed Brewer Street's Fashion Park.
The art deco building was designed in 1929 by JJ Joass.

“The long term growth of the UK’s designer fashion market
is reflected geographically in this move that
will see London Fashion Week designers showcasing collections
in one of London’s most vibrant, diverse and creative hubs
set within a mile of Bond Street, Dover Street,
Mount Street, Oxford Street and Regent Street.”
said Caroline Rush, Chief Executive
of the British Fashion Council of the move.
This season sees the 62nd LFW. The British Fashion Council was originally formed in 1983 to co-ordinate the British fashion exhibition scene and the first London Fashion Week took place in 1984 when Katherine Hamnett was awarded with designer of the year. Other designers featured were Jasper Conran, John Galliano, Vivienne Westwood and John Rocha.
It’s locations have moved over the years from Olympia
to Duke of York Square on the Kings Road,
the Natural History Museum in South Kensington
and Somerset House in 2009.

Someone turned up with rather a large dog in her bag ...
