Robert James Clarke in time for Christmas! Xx

Love your Dog, Love Art? Combine the two this Christmas, 
and commission Artist Robert James Clarke 
to paint your best friend.  
This is a gift that will last forever.

The St Martin’s School of Art trained Clarke
 is based in New York and has painted many a celebrity pooch
 from Kate Moss’s beloved mongrel Archie, 
Photographer Tim Walker’s cross, Stig, 
and Alan Carr’s two red setters, Bev and Joyce (below)

Recent commissions also include the furry 
companions of jewellery designer and 
Vogue blogger Katie Hillier
 and fashionista Katie Grand.

Fashion designer, Bruce Oldfield’s Rhodesian Ridgeback, Babe (below)
and (Black Eyed Peas) Fergie’s dachshund, Meatloaf, 
were both posthumous portraits.

 “Sadly a third of my portraits are painted after the dog has died,” 
says Clarke, “after which we sometimes need to work 
with more than one photograph to translate into paint.”

Commissions confirmed before the end of November
 will be painted and delivered anywhere in the 
EU or United States in time for Christmas.

A dog painted in oil costs £2,800 for a 12-inch square canvas.

An A4 size drawing on 300gsm paper costs £500.

Until the end of November 10% of all proceeds 
will be donated to the Art Room, Edinburgh, 
which provides art as therapy to children and 
young people to raise self-esteem and independence.
