Hotel De Nell Rue du Conservatoire, Paris! Xx

When we went to Paris just before Easter
we stayed at the wonderful Hotel de Nell
7-9 Rue du Conservatoire 75009 Paris

Réservations : h.nell@charmandmore.com

We stayed in a beautiful prestige room at the top
of the hotel which had a balcony and incredible japanese bath.
Hotel De Nell is one of the very cool Mr and Mrs Smith Hotels.
The design is modern and minimalist and the whole
atmosphere is so peaceful, you would hardly
know you were in a city.

Hotel De Nell is just round the corner from Boulevard Haussmann
in the 9th Arrondissement near to Galeries Lafayettes
and Printemps.  We in fact walked everywhere - along the Rue du Rivoli
to through the Tuileries to Pont Des Arts
The Hotel has an amazing Restaurant which gets
fully booked, so make sure even if you have a room
that you book lunch and dinner here.
We arrived at a very civilised time of 1 pm
in time for lunch from a very smooth
BA flight that had left from Terminal 5,
(yes we eschewed Eurostar this time, which as it happened was
very lucky as it ran into problems the day we returned),
so we sat down to lunch immediately while we waited for
our room to be ready ...

The Bookshelves at De Nell are full of Fashion, Design and Art Books ...
which is Heaven.

Just before our lunch, we were brought the most delicious house Pork Terrine,
with homemade bread and pickles
Starter was fresh homemade Asparagus Soup

Sea Bass with Carrot presse, Coconut and Lemongrass

Baked Cod with potatoes
Jenny Palmer with her daughter Sophie
Our deserts were to die for ...
Strawberries and Chantilly Cream
and warm Grand Marnier Souffle made to order.
Just so gorgeous

Madeleines with coffee.

This is our room which was like an oasis in the sky.

We were really lucky with the weather
which was wall to wall sunshine, and the bluest of blue skies.
The gorgeous sunlight streamed into our room ...
Our key card, welcome letter, strawberries and my Lulu Guinness Jenny Bag

The minibar is well stocked and you can order wine at your table
which can be kept for you for your next meal or brought to your room to enjoy
on your balcony - as you wish! Xx

This is the amazing Japanese Bath
The Double Sinks, and there is also a large walk in shower around the corner ...
