Gucci Parfums campaign to support CHIME FOR CHANGE at Macy's Herald Square New York! Xx

To celebrate the launch of the new Gucci Parfums 
campaign to support CHIME FOR CHANGE, Gucci and 
P and G Prestige hosted an intimate cocktail party at the 
Gucci Boutique in Macy’s Herald Square, Tuesday, May 6, 2014
with special guest and face of Gucci Première fragrance, Blake Lively.

Check Blake's flawless make up.  Her eyes are perfectly lined
with a thin precise line of deep opaque black fluid liner 
and loads of thick separating curling mascara.
The eyeshadow is a soft peach pink shade on the lid and crease
with a golden lightly iridescent shade on the brow bone.
Blake's brows are drawn in carefully and brushed into a neat shape.
She is wearing a hydrating foundation, bronzer, illuminating powder
and a rose/coral shade of blush high on the apples of her cheekbones.
The lipstick is a pale crushed raspberry shade with a slight shimmer.

We also love her fishtail plait, which is worn low
and loose letting her strawberry blonde hair flow free at the top
and sides.

Gucci Parfums is proud to commit a minimum pledge 
of US $1 million globally to support CHIME FOR CHANGE 
projects through the sales of five designated iconic 
Gucci fragrances available at Macy’s nationwide 
from May 1 – June 30, 2014. 

Consumers will be able to help improve the lives of 
girls and women around the world by choosing to support Education, 
Health or Justice via a donation code provided in 
each fragrance purchased. Consumers can redeem 
their donation codes online at ChimeforChange.org/gucciparfums
and share their involvement, spreading the message 
of the campaign via the hashtag #chimein.

To kick off the campaign, and in honor of the launch event, 
Gucci Parfums was pleased to dedicate $75,000 to projects 
selected by Blake Lively across the three pillars 
of Education, Health and Justice.

 It is immensely important for me to stand behind causes I believe in, 
and the three pillars of CHIME FOR CHANGE — Education, Health and Justice
 — reflect my personal values for women's empowerment.

to give back through an organization that provides programs 
for women and girls to prosper.  I look forward to seeing
 the difference we all can make.”

Projects supported on behalf of Blake Lively in honor of the launch event include:

For the pillar of Education:

-          Supporting teachers at a leadership center in Kabul where 250 Afghan women will be empowered through V-Day (http://www.chimeforchange.org/project/advance-womens-leadership-in-afghanistan/)
-          Providing a safe and comfortable environment for 60 girls in India to continue their education, avoid early marriage and become financially independent through the Girl2B Foundation (http://www.chimeforchange.org/project/make-a-house-a-home-for-indian-girls/)

For the pillar of Health:

-          Advocate for women’s rights and the abandonment of female sexual mutilation for Malian migrants in France through Equilibres & Populations (http://www.chimeforchange.org/project/mobilize-malian-migrants-in-france/)
-          Provide 75 Mayan women in Guatemala with safe cookstoves to save lives through Behrhorst Partners for Development (http://www.chimeforchange.org/project/safe-stoves-protect-women-and-save-lives/)

For the pillar of Justice:
-          Advocate to end sex trafficking in Croatia and the Balkans, and provide legal help and counseling for survivors, through the Global Fund for Women (http://www.chimeforchange.org/project/women-groups-work-together-to-end-sex-trafficking/)
-          Provide leadership training for local leaders from 71 cities at a retreat in New York City to empower young women and address street harassment in their local communities through Hollaback! (http://www.chimeforchange.org/project/hollarevolution-nyc-retreat-for-young-leaders/)


Founded by Gucci in 2013, CHIME FOR CHANGE 
raises funds and awareness for girls’ and women’s rights globally. 
It is co-founded by Gucci Creative Director Frida Giannini, 
Salma Hayek Pinault and Beyoncé Knowles-Carter.

 The campaign aims to convene, unite and strengthen
 the voices speaking out for girls and women around the world, 
with a focus on Education, Health and Justice. 
CHIME FOR CHANGE is powered by Catapult, 
the first crowd-funding site where people can make
 real change happen for girls and women. CHIME FOR CHANGE 
selected Catapult as a strategic partner of the campaign 
to ensure transparency, accountability and measurable impact,
 by allowing the CHIME FOR CHANGE community 
to choose exactly where their donations 
go and to track the results of their contributions 
on www.chimeforchange.org.  
To date, the campaign has fully funded more than 
310 projects in nearly 80 countries through 101 non-profit partners.
