Carey Mulligan on Harpers Bazaar UK June Issue! Xx

We are loving the June Cover of UK Harper's Bazaar (out 1st May)
of Carey Mulligan photographed by Tom Allen.
She is wearing the gorgeous Prada pale pink
duchesse silk satin coat with red beaded
daisys along with Hunter wellies
just in time for Glastonbury
where her husband Marcus Mumford with Mumford and sons
are headlining this summer! Xx

The Great Gatsby, Scott Fitzgerald's masterpiece based in Long Island 1922
and published 10 April 1925 finally comes to our screens 10 May.
We just can't wait - fabulous cast, wardrobe, jewels from Tiffany & Co,
and wicked soundtrack including Jack White and Bryan Ferry.
Take a look at the trailer here:
This is the fifth time The Great Gatsby has been made into a film

- the most famous before this is the 1974 version
with Mia Farrow as Daisy Buchanan and Robert Redford as Gatsby,
with a script by the great Francis Ford Coppola

in the 1974 Film.

Carey says to Harpers that:

“Daisy was difficult to work out, but so fun to play…
Baz also gave me about seven biographies of Zelda [Fitzgerald]
and a stack of love letters from Ginevra [King].
You can so easily see where Fitzgerald has taken Daisy from.
Just the way Zelda and Ginevra wrote
 – there were lines we stole for the script.”

as Gatsby in Baz Luhrmann's Film

"When I did the audition [for the role of Daisy in The Great Gatsby]
with Leo in New York I walked away grinning.
Just the idea that if I never got any further,
I had just spent an hour and a half acting with Leonardo DiCaprio .”

Carey wore a custom-made cream Prada gown
for her wedding to Marcus Mumford
with pink Wellington boots at Stream Farm at Bridgwater, Somerset.
The bridesmaids also wore Prada dresses in different shades of blue.
There were 150 guests, including family
and friends Sienna Miller, Colin Firth and Jake Gyllenhaal.
At the Grammys 2013, Mumford and Sons won
Album Of The Year for Babel
and at the The Brits 2013
Mumford and Sons won Best British Group  (Marcus is 2nd from left)

“I have worn a lot of Prada and always loved their clothes.
 I always felt very comfortable.
They were the first designer house that ever lent me anything;
I wore Prada to the Oscars.
The people who work there are so lovely
and really just non-scary fashion people.”

Bottega Veneta SS13 and The Beauty of the Individual! Xx

Bottega Veneta is one of Sparkle Style's very favourite
Brands, and Tomas Maier's designs are
perfect for wearing either to
Glastonbury and the Festivals, or absolutely anywhere this Summer.
They can be dressed up or down and can live forever
in your wardrobe as completely beautiful pieces
that you will always adore, and make you the
individual that you want to be.

I went into the store in Via Montenapoleone 5
during MFW and was amazed at
the fine craftsmanship of each piece. I truly fell in love.
