Chanel Métiers d'Art Paris Dallas Collection! Xx

Kristen Stewart, the face for Paris Dallas
with Karl Lagerfeld at the Metiers d'Art Paris Dallas Collection

On December 10th 2013, Karl Lagerfeld unveiled the CHANEL Métiers d’Art show
where the décor was constructed to resemble a rodeo.
The Paris-Dallas 2013/14 collection was held at Dallas Fair Park,
a National Historic Landmark
renowned for its Art Deco architecture, in the heart of Dallas.
To kick off the evening, guests attended a drive-in where they enjoyed
the screening of Karl Lagerfeld’s new film ‘The Return’,
seated in a fleet of vintage cars.

As usual Lagerfeld digs deep within style references
and mixes them seamlessly to create a completely new look.
There were Capes, ponchos, flared and straight skirts, jeans and cocktail dresses.
Using a wide mixture of fabrics and textures - the look was rich -
tweeds, furs, leathers, denim, lace, feathers, tulle, crushed leather and velvet
embellished with beading, sequins and fringing.
The Palette was a gorgeous indigenous one of
indigo, turquoise, ochre, sienna,
raw umber, greys, blush pink and wheat.

Lagerfeld's take on Navajo created
a natural earthy, prairie cowgirl/boy style.
We loved the intricate woven pleating and embroidery
on cream dresses in a perfect cross between Navajo Indian
and Victoriana Style.

There were Cowboy boots and Hats by Maison Michel.
The Metiers d'Art Show as always highlighted the talents of
embroiderer Lesage, feathers and flowers maker Lemarié.

Here are our most favourite pieces:

We were loving the sparkly black dress with short
quilted waistcoat - very Mary Poppins
LOVE the fringed leather bag and black leather boots.

Loving these colours and the classic Chanel
knitwear, pearls and Chain look Dallas'd up with jeans,
pale blue suede boots,
Maison Michel hat and Red White and Blue Star cuffs! Xx

… and deep prussian blue satin dress
with short embroidered waistcoat probably our favourite piece! Xx

Just love this vintage lace and denim with pale blue suede boots.
Black sequin jacket, crushed leather cowgirl skirt

The star motif was evident on a black tulle dress worn with
a customised denim jacket (above)
and a long line beautifully cut black velvet short sleeve gown
worn with long gloves and cowboy boots (below).

Just love this pale dove grey/blue chiffon dress with Navajo inspired
pleated/woven tassle detailing in apricot, peach, white and gold.

The cream dresses in a perfect cross between Navajo Indian
and Victoriana Style.

After the show Kristen Stewart,
 Géraldine Chaplin, Anna Mouglalis,
Dakota Fanning, Lauren Hutton, Lily Collins,
Lynn Wyatt and Kiko Mizuhara attended the cocktail party,
enhanced by the saloon décor.
Later on in the evening there was
a performance by Hot Chip, the
English Electro Pop group, flown in from London
