Cath Kidston's 20th Birthday Party in Freston Road! Xx

This year Cath Kidston celebrates their 20th Birthday
and on 22 April the book 'Coming up Roses' was Published
which is the Story of their business.
The book tells of ideas and inspiration that, with a little encouragement
and plenty of hard work, grew and
blossomed into something to be proud of.
A lot like roses.

Sparkle Style were lucky enough to be invited
to a very special party at their headquarters
in Freston Road where the most amazing cocktails and food were served
and we could ice red velvet cakes in true Cath Kidston Style.

The cocktails were:
'Linen Sprig' Collins', 'Coming up Roses',
'Summer Blossom' Iced Tea and 'Bloomsbury' Bramble

Our favourite was the 'Coming up Roses' which was
vodka, rose liqueur syrup, fresh lemon juice shaken
and served over ice topped with soda and garnished with a rose petal.

There were British Mini Mains of
Mini Fish Pie
Veggie Sausage and Mash
Goat's cheese and roast vegetable tartlet
Lemon and Herb Chicken Skewer with greenleaves and cherry tomatoes
and Giant couscous salad with green lentils, roasted peppers and rocket

They showed an amazing film at the Party - take a look:

In 1993 Cath based her office in the basement of the shop and had an Apple Mac
(one of Sparkle Style's treasured possessions also)
she designed a cover for her Mac in
Rose Bouquet printed fabric
- the first ever Cath Kidston print, known today as 'Antique Rose'.
The Coming up Roses Home Collection launched on 25 April,
the month the business was registered.
It consists of this very print - Antique Rose and Red Spot.
Every piece is Limited Edition.
There are Bags, in bowler or satchel style, iPad and iPhone cases.
see below for a selection of the pieces.
