David Bowie on Ricky Gervais' Extras! Xx

With the David Bowie is Exhibition on at the V and A
and Bowie's excellent album the Next Day just released
we have to remind you all of his hilarious appearance in
Ricky Gervais' Extras back in 2007.
We love the Bowie! Xx

Ricky bribes his way into the VIP area of a Club where
Mister Bowie is sitting, and immensely relieved that he is finally
with his idol and someone who will understand,
confides in him about his recent Comedy disaster on the BBC.
Bowie listens, nods his head and looks very understanding.
Thinking deeply - poetically - the true song writer that he is,

Bowie starts to sing a song
'Little Fat Man who sold his soul
little fat man who sold his dream ...'

He then swings round to the piano
and sings the song to everyone in Club
a ready made audience,
composing it as he goes along
and finding it extremely amusing

'chubby little loser, national joke
no one's bloody laughing.
the clown that no one laughs at ...'
... he then gets everyone to join in with the really important lines:
'He's banal and facile, he's a fat waste of space ...
See his pug nose face ...'

 again ...
'see his pug nose face'
