Burberry Prorsum AW13/14 TRENCH KISSES - the Collection! Xx



Burberry today showed its Burberry Prorsum Womenswear

 Autumn/Winter 2013 collection,

 inspired by Burberry classics, sixties beauty Christine Keeler, 

and featuring an iconic Burberry colour palette,
and Models Edie Campbell, Cara Delevingne, Jourdan Dunn and Karlie Kloss.
The soundtrack to the show included a live performance by Tom Odell, 
as well as specially recorded tracks by Misty Miller and Paloma Faith.
The runway opened up a third of the way through the show
to reveal a stage with Tom Odell, 
2013 Critics’ Choice BRIT award winner 
and Burberry Acoustic musician, 
accompanied by a choir of concert backing singers,
wearing black satin Burberry Trenches.
The performance of the forthcoming single ‘Hold Me’ 
served as the backdrop for the show finale,
and celebrated Burberry’s support 
of emerging British music talent.
The show marked Burberry’s debut of Runway Made to Order, 
a service that offers custom-made outerwear and bags 
from the collection featuring personalised engraved nameplates. 
Runway coats and bags are now available for
 two weeks on Burberry.com, for delivery in nine weeks.

The creative story behind each coat and bag ordered
 via Runway Made to Order 
comes to life through smart personalisation.
When items come into contact with a touch screen device, technology 
unlocks bespoke video footage retracing their journey and 
celebrating their expert design and artisan production 
– including original sketches, runway edits, craftsmanship 
and personalisation. In addition, customers can have their items
 enabled to trigger their content on large-scale mirrors that turn 
instantly to screens at the Burberry flagship on London’s Regent Street.

BURBERRY NAIL POLISH
As part of the show, Burberry also introduced
 Burberry Nail Polish to its beauty collection, 
launching in stores in Autumn 2013.
 The shade worn by models in the show was Oxblood,
 inspired by the ready-to-wear and accessories collections.
BURBERRY BEAUTY

Burberry today premiered the new Trench Kisses 
make up look and collection, 
shared live from backstage via the Burberry Beauty Booth 
on Twitter andthrough dedicated beauty content
 on the brand’s Pinterest board after the show.
 Burberry Twitter followers could follow #BeautyBooth content,
 including live personal messages to users from the runway models.


Tom Odell:

·       British musician Tom Odell performed his debut single ‘Hold Me’ live 

(for release 31 March 2013) as part of the 

Burberry Prorsum Womenswear Autumn/Winter 2013 show

·       He first performed live for Burberry in Taipei 

at the brand’s Burberry World Live event in April 2012
·       Tom’s track ‘Another Love’ was featured as part of the 
Burberry Prorsum Spring/Summer 2013 show soundtrack
·       Tom has recently won the BRITs Critics’ Choice Award 
ahead of the BRITs Awards ceremony this coming 
Wednesday 20 February 2013 – the first male to win the prestigious award 
(past recipients include Adele, Emeli Sande, 
Ellie Goulding and Florence and the Machine)
·       He will embark on his first sold out headline UK tour in March 2013 
and his debut album ‘Long Way Down’ will be released 
on 15 April 2013 through ITNO/Columbia Records
