The CULTURE CHANEL exhibition opening at the Guangzhou Opera House, China! Xx



On January 17th 2013, around 600 guests 
celebrated the opening of the CULTURE CHANEL exhibition 
at the Guangzhou Opera House in the presence of its 
artistic director Xu Min Qi, as well as Luo Yi Ping, 
director of Guangdong Museum of Art, 
Jean-Louis Froment, curator of CULTURE CHANEL 
and Claus Oldager, CHANEL President of Greater China.

It was a memorable event attended by many artists,
 VIPs and press, among them actress and 
CHANEL’s ambassadress Zhou Xun, 
artists Hou Han Ru, Han Ya Juan and Zhou Yi, 
singer Anthony Wong, model Qin Shu Pei 
and opinion leaders Hung Huang, Zing and Han Huo Huo.

This new exhibition is centered on Pablo Picasso’s stage backdrop,
 created for Serge Diaghilev’s 1924 ballet, 
Le Train bleu (The Blue Train)

LE TRAIN BLEU   
 
and shows how Gabrielle Chanel and 
the greatest artists of her time invented a 
totally new language that left a 
deep and lasting mark on the 20th century. 
Through 400 works, including photographs, 
drawings, paintings, manuscripts, books, 
films and fashion creations (from Mademoiselle Chanel to Karl Lagerfeld), 
CULTURE CHANEL retraces the 
bold adventure of a brand that continues 
to express the essence of its time and 
whose language is synonymous with modernity and creativity.
