Prada Jewels SS2012/13! Xx

We are loving the SS2012/13 Prada Jewels and the
advertising campaign by photographer
Steven Meisel with model Sasha Pivovarova.

The floral symbols are mixed with geometric lines to create modern,
clean cut sculptural shapes in three different collections:

This collection was first seen during the spring-summer 2013 show
with the use of bracelets featuring two colour' floral' bouquets on enamel.
Graphic colours such as black and white are used as well as pure green
and white or tortoiseshell and pink, all enriched with metal points
in the links of the chain.
The alternating flowers of different sizes are set in a sculptural plexi frame
that gives necklaces, bracelets and earrings a three dimensional look.

Two colours: tortoise shell and black and two materials,
plexi and metal form faces of the same 1950s coin set into a perfect circle,
resembling casino chips. Used as a single pendant for necklaces
or as 'charms' to adorn bracelets, these 'coins', decorated on both sides,
were made with clear references to the Prada world:
the mouth, the gallery, the rose, the moon etc

Shown during the Spring/Summer 2013 Prada women’s show,
the Ramage collection is based on ivory and black tones.
The metal alloy serpent encircling the jewel creates a perfect
movement which brings to life the small flowers and
crystals set in a precise pattern in the decoration.

All Prada jewels are available from

Prada boutiques

Until next time J Xx
