Givenchy Dahlia Noir & Givenchy SS13! Xx


Givenchy's Dahlia Noir Eau de Toilette
is the perfect encapsulation
of the House's fusion of Feminity and Edge
as created and envisioned by Riccardo Tisci, 
their Creative Director for the last eight years.

Mariacarla Boscono is the model for the campaign, 
Tisci's Friend and Muse.

Magnetic and Mysterious.

Black Dahlias don't exist in the natural world -
These are imaginary flowers 
part of Riccardo Tisci's vision of femininity:

Danger and Delicateness
Profane and the Sacred
Shadow and Light Equally

Dahlia Noir Eau de Parfum was launched in 2011
This is the new Eau de Toilette
Composed by Francois Demachy
It is more luminous and fruity than the Eau de Parfum,
with top notes Mandarin, Lemon and Peach
a heart of Rose Petal spicy pink pepper
and base notes of amber sweet vanilla sandalwood.

Available in 30 ml, 50 ml and 75 ml.

As always the perfect juxtaposition of the dark and the beautiful.
 Tisci who described this collection as a mixture of
 "Sensual, purity and tough," 
looked back into the Sixties archives of Givenchy 
for the toughness and edge, 
and took inspiration from nuns habits for the
serenity, purity and freshness and 
brought the whole thing together 
in a colour palette of black, white, pale blue and taupe.
Anna Wintour was of course in the front row along 
with Jefferson Hack, Anna Dello Russo,
 Natalia Vodianova, Mario Sorrenti, Rachel Zoe and Kanye West .
