Chanel SS13 Show! Xx

Karl Lagerfeld's show started with a clean cut monochrome classic
Coco Chanel image embroidered with large pearls.

This transformed to a modern vision
with looser weave -
skinny leg trouser suits with short wide cropped jackets
and corset-like tops.
There are wind turbines on a t shirt as there are along the catwalk,
and berry hued natural dyes, in wide woven ecological fabrics.

Through all this metamorphosis,
Lagerfeld still retains the spirit of Mademoiselle.
The large twisted pearl necklaces become metallic,
and the classic Chanel mary-janes become
silver, white, black and natural ankle strap wedges.
Large brimmed hats have transparent brims
for a clear vision of the future, no doubt.
and there is a giant hula hoop bag to go
with an perfectly graphic crossed Cs swimsuit.

We are loving the black chiffon dresses
with appliqu├ęd multi coloured
flower and windmills,
very fine silk quilted black dresses with large pearls,
and finally the divine white amazingly detailed
sequinned embroidered flower
strapless column gowns.

Make up by Creative Director Peter Philips
was a pale iridescent silver/green all around the eye
with thick winged black eyeliner and mascara
and a peach/rose colour
on the lips - the face is
sans blush! Xx

Sam McKnight designed the hair look.
All the girls had their hair parted in the
middle and tightly pulled back into a
a large Chanel pearl.
The rest of hair was twisted softly.

Until next time J Xx
