Marisa Berenson, Marina Schiano and Gucci SS13! Xx

We absolutely loved the Gucci SS13 Show.
and the styling was down to Marisa Berenson
Schiaparelli's Grandaughter c 1970s

 Makeup artist Pat McGrath said
backstage that to get that Marisa Berenson look
'Smoked Almond' shadow was used on the eyes with a small make up brush,
and then two full strips of false lashes for every girl.
Lipstick was a natural beige.
“It’s still strong, still very Gucci,
but it felt like time for something a little more natural,”
said McGrath. Eyebrows were left natural.

Luigi Murenu’s inspiration for the hair was Marina Schiano
as well as Marisa Berenson.

“We wanted something architectural, and very sophisticated,”.
The tight buns were very sculptural
with pointed japanese style extensions added at the back.
All designed to frame and accentuate the big wide lashed eyes.

So here is the Frida Giannini for Gucci SS13 Show
held at the Piazza Oberdan, Milan
The show began with powerful clean deep jewel
colour divisions broken by a peacock feather prints
in the same shade.
There was ruby, coral, sapphire, aquamarine, emerald,
snakeskin print in natural tones, and topaz
all with the Giannini superlative cut.

The lights dimmed, and the show ended in snakeskin prints
in more muted tones for evening,
and classically chic black and white gowns.

We are loving the chandelier earrings
and beautiful necklaces.
