revisited by Karl Lagerfeld and Carine Roitfeld


On June 6th springing into 
downtown Manhattan at 18 Wooster Street, 
and in the presence of Karl Lagerfeld and Carine Roitfeld, 
CHANEL officially opened the exhibition 
The Little Black Jacket: CHANEL's classic 
revisited by Karl Lagerfeld and Carine Roitfeld*, 

a celebration of the modernity and timelessness of CHANEL’s jacket.

Carine ROITFELD wore a de-constructed 

CHANEL black tweed jacket with a CHANEL skirt.

The exhibition, installed in a contemporary space, 

showcases 113 photographs that depict celebrities 

and other personalities in the iconic piece of clothing. 

Styled by Carine Roitfeld with Karl Lagerfeld behind the lens, 

the images have been selected from the forthcoming book 

The Little Black Jacket: 
CHANEL's classic revisited by Karl Lagerfeld and Carine Roitfeld. 
The exhibition will be open to the public 
from June 8th and will run until June 15th.

The opening was followed by a private and intimate 
dinner at French brasserie Balthazar and 

there was a crowd-pleasing performance by Theophilus London(above), 
after which Poppy Delevingne took 
to the decks as DJ for the rest of the evening.
