Kanye West's 7 Screen Experience @ Cannes 'Cruel Summer'! Xx

After Kanye West has finished five nights of 'Watch the Throne'
shows at the O2 with Jay Z
he will be flying to Cannes to Present
'Cruel Summer' on 23 May

The project is described as,
"a fusion of short film and art installation ... an immersive
'7 screen experience' for the eyes and ears
unlike anything West has attempted before. "

And is made by his company DONDA
(which is named after his mother)

"Cruel Summer"
will debut on the
Palm Beach in Cannes,
France during the Cannes Film Festival.
Inspired by the all star
G.O.O.D. Music album
 of the same name,
will world premiere on May 23 and remain
open to the public for two days afterwards.

It is being screened out of competition in Cannes
and it will star
 Aziz Ansari
  Kid Cudi

Lebanese actress Razane Jammal

 and Palestinian actor Ali Suliman
Yeezy is listed as the producer, writer and director.

Cruel Summer is based on a screenplay by Elon Rutberg,
who was the associate director of the
Throne's "N----s in Paris" video - below:

The co-director is Alexandre Moors,
who worked with Ye on Runaway (below) as well at N----s in Paris
so that may give us a vague 1 screen idea of what
the film will look like.

Also take a look at Kanye West's
Lost in the World which features
Justin Vernon of Bon Iver and is taken from West's
fifth album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy
Directed by SHOW Studio's Ruth Hogben.
As it says on YouTube
'Hogben's piece breaks the mould
of popular rap aesthetics while still celebrating
the extraordinary talent that has made West a modern icon.'

Until next time J Xx
