Apartment 58 - In da Club! Xx

Apartment 58 Opened in March
with launches during LFW February 2012
It's been a long time in the deciding
which Club should I join?
- I mean we all know there are a lot of
clubs in London - and my friends are all members of them -
Soho, Shoreditch House
- with its roof top swimming pool (it may stop raining soon),
Groucho, Dover Street Arts Club, Home House, and BAFTA
if you are well into the Film Business.

Anyway - I was at the Emilio Cavillini launch at Sketch
check my Post
and and got chatting to the make-up artist
Michele Gataric who had just come back from working on the
Chanel F/W 12 show with
Creative Director Peter Philips including
attaching those incredible Swarovski eyebrows
to all the models that were apparently
worth 4,000 Euros per pair by the end.
Chanel AW12
Michelle told me about this Brand New Club - Apartment 58
that everyone was talking about that was
fresh, and that I should really go have a look.
It had opened on Poland Street
and was shortly opening in Notting Hill.

 Shoreditch is planned
and Globally New York,
Paris, Milan, Berlin and Mumbai.

You know when something sounds just right
- like the sound of something Brand New
- and this was it.
So I applied on line, made an appointment
and immediately liked what I saw.
'We want people to treat this like their apartment',
Ronald Ndoro, my interviewee said.
And it is, kind of that simple.

This place felt like home.
And it felt like the Future.

It's very relaxed atmosphere, but also conducive for
work and meetings
and great for thinking up ideas
- I think of it as a creative space
 - somewhere to unwind and think about 'stuff'
between Press Meetings and Appointments.

There are Macs and power points everywhere
to charge your iPhones which, as we know is really necessary.
Workstation with Cocktail

Apt 58 is the Perfect Modern Mix of Vintage Eclectic Design
 and Cutting Edge Technology
Facilities include a 24 hour Apple Guru,
high speed wi-fi (of course),
Skype-conferencing facilities, access to
Apartment communal computers
(iPads, MacBooks and iMacs complete with software,
iCloud and Apartment iTunes juke box)

The Interior is specially designed by
Mia Wallenius who is a
creative consultant with 14 years experience
in the world of fashion, art and culture.
She worked as Senior Art Director for Gucci Group
and served as the Visual Director for the
Hel Yes! pop-up exhibition
and restaurant which promoted design and food
from Helsinki as part of London Design Festival 2010.
 She has filled the apartment
with vintage furniture
eclectic prints, and woven hangings from her
design brand Klaus Haapaniemi
There are animal table lamps

and the cat candle holders

The china has beautiful and individual designs,
the service is low key and perfect and
the barmen are expert and extremely knowledgeable in their craft.
The best drink and food is on a menu all on iPad.
I like the Chapel Down Sparkling White
and of course the French 76 -
vodka, lemon juice and sugar topped up with champagne
which is just as good as the one at Ritz Paris

The Table in the dining room which overlooks Poland Street
