Exclusive Bobbi Brown collaborates with Bruce Weber @ Liberty's Xx

A Celebration of Beauty & Art:
Bobbi Brown collaborates with Bruce Weber in celebration of 20 Years in Beauty

To mark 20 years of Bobbi Brown Cosmetics’ fresh, clean, and natural beauty, Bobbi Brown has collaborated with legendary photographer Bruce Weber, to create a unique photographic art installation exclusively for Liberty London.

I have always loved Bruce Weber and the title of my thesis at University
was

'The Art of Bruce Weber, Its Inspiration
and Its influence on Contemporary Visual Style'

That was in 1985 ...

Bobbi has turned to her longtime friend and colleague, Bruce who played a significant part in her 20 year history as the best person to capture the essence of her philosophy; that every woman is naturally pretty, but with the right colours, products and techniques, she can feel pretty powerful.

Bobbi says: “Bruce was an important mentor early in my career. I was the assistant to his makeup artist and on a day when she wasn’t there, he asked me to step in. I learned so much from how he sees the natural beauty in women. He’d tell me to pinch a girl’s cheeks to see the natural color of her skin blushing. He’d ask a girl to bite her lips to see her natural lip color. That’s how I learned to see color, and how I honed my style as a makeup artist.”

Bruce photographed Bobbi in her element while she worked. Guest ‘models’ included several high profile friends of Bruce and Bobbi’s, such as philanthropist and fashion icon Iris Apfel, Afghan de-mining activist Kyleigh Kuhn, Brazilian drummer Michele Kettner as well as models Ann Marie Kortright, Talisa Soto, Jane Gill among others.

The photographic installation will be on display and exclusive to Liberty London from December 2011 to March 2012, where customers can now enjoy a work of art at the same time as a complimentary makeup lesson with a Bobbi Brown Makeup Artist who can help take your look from ‘pretty’ to ‘powerful’.
