THE STAR STUDDED QUINTESSENTIALLY AWARDS
THE Party of the Season Wednesday 28th September 2011,
Stars including Pixie Lott, Donna Air, Laura Bailey, Alexandra Burke were out in force to celebrate the very best in luxury, at the second annual Quintessentially Awards, held at Number One Marylebone. All the very best in luxury lifestyle had been voted on, the evening was sponsored by Aston Martin, Coutts and The Spectator, and organised by expert party planners, Quintessentially Events.
None other than Sir David Frost was there to announce the winners.
Voted for by Quintessentially members across the globe, there were some shock winners on the night with Jessie J being pipped to the post by new British band, The Vaccines, for ‘Best Emerging Artist’, Livia Firth, wife of the famed Oscar winner, Colin Firth, was announced as ‘Philanthropist of the Year’. There was a dead-heat tie for ‘The Quintessentially Award for Excellence’ with Sarah Burton and Tom Ford sharing the title. Heston’s global dominance seemed to have taken an unusual hit as Marcus Wareing picked up the award for ‘Chef of the Year’. LA based, ‘Soho House’ picked up ‘Private Members Club of the Year’ and Le Bar au Plaza Atheneein Paris collecting the award for ‘Best Bar of the Year’.
The Menu
· Herb crusted lamb, olive potato cake and blackened red pepper puree
· Beef carpaccio with artichoke, parmesan and black truffle,
· Crab salad, with green apple and avocado, and a tomato crisp.
· Kedgeree cake, asparagus, quails egg and caviar
· Blackened cod miso brochette
· Bombay chat, tamarind and green mango
· Goats cheese, roasted pear and truffled honey
There was a major after party also at One Marylebone which is a converted church. A further 300 of London’s who’s who arrived and the cocktails and drinks included the Diageo and De’Longhi’s ‘De’Longhi Expresso Martinis’, ‘Ciroc Vodka Autumn Cobblers’, the ‘Zacapa Old-Fashioned’ ‘Tanqueray Bramble’, Pommery Champagne, Peroni & Johnnie Walker Blue Label, mouth-watering canapés from The Recipe.
Quintessentially had organised the British Trolli Dollies, the tattoo parlour the confession booth with guests disclosing their deepest darkest secrets (later displayed on the walls in UV), the polaroid wall & and the curiosity cabinet.
DJ Heathcote and worldwide percussion talent, fresh from Ibiza, Tom Carr provided the music and there was the amazing dance act by the “Quintessentially Five” in latex outfits and positioned around the room on shelves,
the after-after-party was at Whiskey Mist, the favourite haunt of the Royals.
