This week for one night only, The Northall was transformed with theatrical cooking in the live kitchen. Garry’s team served up highlights from The Northall’s Autumn menu on the open grill with dishes including roast Cornish hake and curried mussels, slow roast fillet of beef and Innes goats cheese and leek tarts.

Guests sipped on the signature ‘Northall’ cocktail – a blend of Sipsmith gin, lime, apple juice and Cointreau with a dash of peach bitters.

The restaurant’s dining areas were decorated with seasonal red roses by in-house florist Ercole Moroni.

The seated dining area had installations created from the fresh  produce used in The Northall’s menu: an iced-wall was the background for Maldon oysters, Lock Var salmon and potted shrimps, there were cheeses from British producers Premier Cheese and artisan chocolates by Damian Allsop.

Three times Michelin starred Chef Garry Hollihead is famous in the British restaurant scene having been at L’Escargot, Les Saveurs and Sutherlands. After some years cooking in Dubai, it is good to have him back in London.

Designed by GA Design, The Northall is set over four stunning and distinct areas and offers two elegant private dining spaces: a gallery dining area on the mezzanine level overlooking the buzz of the main restaurant, as well as the more private Dining Room.  The Northall has great views over Whitehall Gardens towards the River Thames.

The flagship Corinthia Hotel London is the ninth of Corinthia Hotels’ collection of five-star hotels founded by the Pisani family of Malta created by experts with a passion for craftsmanship and an understanding of world-class service.

George Clooney has an understanding for world-class service and had chosen
the Corinthia for dinner that night (we saw him in the corridor) after the premiere of
his film The Descendants as part of the BFI London Film Festival

Watch the trailer to the film here
Looks to be a really cool film
based in Hawaii
