In Harrods right now there is a Pop up Chanel Store, Fine Jewellery Boutique, and Make up in the White Hall on the Ground Floor; Shoes and Ready to Wear on the 1st.

We went to the 3rd floor - and you have to be quick as it closes on 24 September to
'Une Promenade' Chanel.  It is a magical Exhibition with different rooms which explore Chanel's mystique.
You enter through a giant curtain of pearl beads that Gabrielle Chanel adored, through to a garden of Camelia trees and display cases of diamonds. There is a reconstruction of Chanel's apartment at 31 rue Cambon with her Coromandel Screens and tall mirrors.  Here there are amazing dresses displayed under glass and Chanel cases used to deliver the Haute Couture dresses to clients.
There is Karl Lagerfeld's Studio 7L and it's gigantic library, and the pop art room with the silk screen images of the CHANEL No 5 Bottle with this film of Audrey Tatou which is truly mesmorizing viewed
within a Massive Chanel No 5 Bottle.

My mate Cinta Miller and me in the Chanel 2.55 room where it shows the stages of creation of the 2.55 - the bag which has now become Legendary.  It was created in February 1955 which is how it got it's name.

There are multi screens showing the different stages of creation of the 2.55

This is the Giant Chanel Bag and jacket

and playing cards rightly showing Karl Largefeld as the King and
Coco Chanel as the Queen

Bravo Harrods - We love Une Promenade Chanel Xx

  1. Chanel have really gone all out, Audrey Tautou was a perfect choice for the No.5 film. Love how they have juxtaposed the soft glamour with pop art and a giant handbag. xx
