R.I.P. Amy X

Amy really is an ANGEL Xx

Russell Brand on his excellent blog that can be reached on the the link below talks about Amy perfectly and brilliantly:

'From her oddly dainty presence that voice, a voice that seemed not to come from her but from somewhere beyond even Billie and Ella, from the font of all greatness. A voice that was filled with such power and pain that it was at once entirely human yet laced with the divine. ... She was a fucking Genius'

The Fred Perry Press Office released the following statement alongside Amy's
3rd Collection for the Legendary Brand which is available now.

After much consideration and with the blessing of Amy’s family, Fred Perry has decided to release the AW11 range and wholesale the SS12 Amy Winehouse for Fred Perry Collection. Amy was passionate and dedicated to the collaboration and her signature style is clearly stamped across each piece. In such circumstances, Amy’s royalties and fees from both collections will be donated to the soon to be established Amy Winehouse Foundation. Fred Perry will also make a seasonal donation to the Foundation.

"When Fred Perry came to us to ask what we would like to do with the new collection it was natural to continue. Amy loved working on both collections and would want them to be made available. All the money we make and the donation that Fred Perry will give will go straight into to the Amy Winehouse Foundation which we are setting up to help children and young people in her name."
 Mitch Winehouse, Amy’s father

The  inspiration for the collection comes from girls in the 50’s getting dressed in their best on a Friday night and heading down the local Working Mens Club. There is a micro houndstooth shirt dress, black body con dress, high waisted micro houndstooth shorts and the slimmed down twin tipped polo shirt with stand up collar.

The range will continue to incorporate staple pieces from the two previous seasons - the downsized Harrington jacket this time with houndstooth panelling, the Amy gingham bowling shirt and ankle grazer high waisted trousers. There is a cropped trench coat with houndstooth lapels, a high waisted wool houndstooth pencil skirt and matching shift dress with 50’s collar.  All very much Amy's style. Don't forget to wear everything with lots of eyeliner, lipstick and incredible hair a la Amy - who looked like a young Modern Sophia Loren with that Italian 50s Dolce Vita incredibly sexy Style of hers.

Accessories include a leather bowling bag, wide houndstooth belts and suede and leather loafers.
Look out for also the Official Fred Perry Amy Winehouse Paper Dolls - beautiful. X
